Ambassador Personnel is seeking an Engineering Manager for their client in the Johnstown, CO area. The Engineering Manager will be responsible for supervising the activities of the engineering personnel, ensuring that plant facilities and equipment are properly maintained, and production schedules are uninterrupted. The ideal Engineering Manager will demonstrate competencies for all on-the-job activities, to include safety, maintenance, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist HR in selection and hiring of salaried engineering staff and engineering technicians
- Manage, coach, and support engineering team
- Create a technical strategy and budget proposal
- Conducts plant inspections with all regulatory and/or insurance agency representatives
- Prepares and maintains preventative maintenance program
- Purchases maintenance supplies, parts and equipment within budgetary limitations
- Maintains adequate parts inventory to meet plant needs
- Coordinate internal teams to ensure project timelines and budgets are met
- Promotes established safety programs and monitors employee compliance
Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Electronics/Electrical Technology and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
- 3+ years' of experience in plant maintenance and engineering in a maintenance supervisory role
- Demonstrated knowledge in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning; Refrigeration, Welding, Electronic/Electrical Equipment repair, Industrial Equipment installation, etc
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
